[info]dybbuk67 has commanded me (and you, but you might be more resistant to his commands than I am) to quote Douglas Adams.

"There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.
There is another theory which states that this has already happened."

-Douglas Adams, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe.

I like this game, because I love quotes and I love participation. But I held off on it until because I was busy. Here's that 'five quotes that mean something you taken from some random quote generator or something.

1) All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another.
Anatole France (1844 - 1924)

2) Operationally, God is beginning to resemble not a ruler but the last fading smile of a cosmic Cheshire cat.
Sir Julian Huxley (1887 - 1975)

3) For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.
Vincent Van Gogh (1853 - 1890)

4) For none of us can ever express the exact measure of his needs or his thoughts or his sorrows; and human speech is like a cracked kettle on which we tap crude rhythms for bears to dance to, while we long to make music that will melt the stars.
Gustave Flaubert (1821 - 1880), Charles Bovary

5) Nothing is really so poor and melancholy as art that is interested in itself and not in its subject.
George Santayana (1863 - 1952), Life of Reason (1905) vol. 4, ch. 8

Also, happy Friday!
