In my "oh my god my work is insanely stressful right now" period, have I missed people talking about Nine Inch Nails' The Slip?

it's freely downloadable, and I think it's pretty tremendous. Plays on a lot of themes like "With Teeth" but musically seems like a continuation of Year Zero. What do other people think?

Also, I think I need an "I am listening to music" icon.

Whoa - that's actually the first I've heard of it - thanks!

I'm digging it. :) Let me know what you think of it. And you know, can't beat the price.

It's on repeat on my MP3 player. "Discipline" is catchy and propels me along when I'm walking, but my favourite is the atmospheric restlessness of "Corona Radiata".

Some people are saying it's the best thing since 'Downward Spiral'. Not so sure about that, but I'm liking it. Still need to take it in a few more times though. It just has different energy than what I'm used to - I haven't picked up a new NIN album since the aforementioned 'Downward'.

Actually, that's a lie. I really like 'Ghosts'. Not all of it works, some 'albums' are much better than others (I like 'I' a lot, 'IV' not so much), but it's an interesting ambient experiment.
